GHS Category - Explosives

Posted Date:2022/5/18

Explosive substances (or mixtures) are solid or liquid substances (or mixtures of substances) that can generate gases through chemical reactions, and the temperature, pressure and speed of the gases are so great that they can cause damage to the surrounding environment. Pyrotechnic substances are also explosive, even though they do not give off gas.

A pyrotechnic substance (or pyrotechnic mixture) is a substance or mixture of substances used to produce effects such as heat, light, sound, gas, smoke, or a combination of these effects through a non-explosive self-sustaining exothermic chemical reaction.
